On Saturday, January 10, 2004 A.S 38, Clan Wulfgard held it's 12th. Night meeting. Following is a summary of that meeting.

In all, 31 people (and one beanie dog) were in attendance! There for a while the good Chief was worried that we might run out of space.
Our High Chieftian for Life , the honorable Laird Wulfric Grimbeald opened the meeting by welcoming all those gathered to the Clan Wulfgard Winter 2004 Althing and Twelfth Night Celebration, and then moved right on to officer's reports.
Officer Reports
Huginn (In charge of the website): Alexandria of Wulfgard reported that Lady Theodora is doing a wonderful job of making her job easier. She just plugs in when she needs to and it's great. (http://www.geocities.com/wulfrunes/ --for anyone who doesn't have the link).
Lady Theodora then asked how the household would feel about moving to a new web server. She has found a new provider, but it is a little more expensive and would require household dues to be raised to $10/year to pay for it. (Editors Note: Geocities has become a pain in the butt.) This new provider supports java and has four times as much as our current site, which is very near its capacity. This increase in space will allow for many more photos to be posted.
A vote was taken (not that the outcome matters in our benevolent dictatorship), and the Clan unanimously supported the move and the increase in fees. (Editors Notes pt 2: Any funds collected over the web site cost will be applied to the mead fund and the Wulfgard Store. Upgrading the store will allow the purchase of items customized for each officer because more uploaded graphics will be allowed.)
Am Bládier (Herald to the High Chief and High Chieftess): Wulf stepped in to introduce our new Am Bládier ,Thorgard of Wulfgard, to explain that due to Thorgard still having that "new officer smell" we would forego his first report.
Frekí (Captain of the Combat Unit): Adrienne McLeod reported with great enthusiasm that the Clan is currently entertaining 4 offers (yes, you read that right! F-o-u-r offers!) to fight at Pennsic XXXIII. These offers include two competing offers from the Dark Horde. One comes from our patron for Pennsic XXXII, Lord Ragnarr Dragonheart , who as you may recall, was very impressed with the performance of our chief and our frekí last year, and is eager to hire their services again. The other interested from the Horde is Master Sipp.
The third offer is from Lord Aldrich of the Mists, and the fourth is from King Gareth, King of Meridies.
Adrienne also reported that Thorgard has become an authorized fighter and wants to fight with a scutum. The Chief is excited by the prospect of being protected by two doors now.
There is a possibility that Itci, who served as the camp slave for Pennsic XXXII is head of a household and has four dozen fighters who may become an auxiliary unit with Wulfgard. Notable quote from the Frekí—"We're small and insidious, but we have a looooonnnggg reach."
Gerí (Captain of the Archery Unit): Lord Aedden Ivor is currently making 2"x4" crossbows for the household and he has a supplier for crossbow bolts in bulk. Anyone interested in a crossbow or bolts should contact Aedden via the Wulfgard mailing list or through Wulfric or Theodora.
Dubh Gobha (The Blacksmith and "Fixer of Things"): Grimolfr happily informed the gathering that as of September 2003, he is officially employed as a blacksmith and metal fabricator. He is working for a small company in Maryland that specializes in high-end custom metalwork and he is having a great deal of fun at this job.
Muninn (Clan Chronicler): Hrefna offered apologies for the extreme lateness of the Summer Althing/Pennsic report. She explained that starting a new job and having both cars in the shop at same time and trying to replace one car were a bit distracting. Lady Theodora also offered her apologies for adding another delay to getting the report posted after Hrefna had turned it in. (This report looks to be making good time at this point. There haven't been any threatening emails from Master Timothy or anything.) (Editors 2 cents worth again: The report is still a little late for reasons most of you know. SORRY)

Am Fear Sporain (Keeper of the Purse)and High Chieftess (ruler of all she surveys): Lady Theodora announced that the new Clan Wulfgard online store has earned $10 so far. The store can be found at http://www.cafeshops.com/clanwulfgard and has a variety of items for your shopping pleasure. Members, associates, and friends are encouraged to check out the shop. All proceeds will go to support household act ivies.
Theodora also announced that household fees of $10 per member are now due. Please be sure to pay yours as promptly as possible so we can continue to fund the various and sundry exploits of the Clan.
(Editors Service Announcment: As always dues are for full household members only. Associats and Junior members are not required to pay them. The Amazon site has made $4.40 for the clan. Making purchases from this Amazon.com link will continue to fund Wulfgard troublemaking.)

High Chief (The guy in charge for life cuz he said so): Laird Wulfric opened his report by announcing that several household members are autocrating events within their local groups.
Wulfric is autocrating the next Defender's Tourney for the Shire of Sylvan Glen. This event will be centered around pageantry and heraldry. The chief has requested a large household turn out with lots of personal heraldic display in addition to household display. This event is scheduled for July 9-11, 2004 at Poorhouse Farm Park in Martinsburg, WV.
Hrefna of Wulfgard is autocrating the next Siege of Glengary for her shire of Sylvan Glen. This event is scheduled for September 10-12, 2004 at the Lazy A Campground in Glengary, WV.
Lady Caitilín inghean Uí Laoghaire is autocrating Russian White Nights, Mid-Winters Dance Revel for the Barony of Lochmere scheduled for January 31, 2004 at Elks Camp Barrett in Crownsville, MD. Household attendance is encouraged at each of these events.
Wulf then informed those gathered that he has been named the Sheriff of the Shire of Sylvan Glen, but don't worry. This position doesn't come with any authority to arrest anyone. The primary duty of this office is to increase the general level of Spiffiness. This position is also responsible for presenting Shire awards to Shire members and to make presentations to outside courts in the name of the Shire.
Wulf then moved on to new business, calling Timothy of Wulfgard into the chiefly presence for the purpose of being elevated to the rank of full household member.
As our fresh smelling Am Bládier intoned the member induction ceremony, the Frekí and the Gerí paraded Timothy around the room, displaying him to his Clan Brothers and Sisters. They then presented him to our Chief. With sword in hand, Wulf completed the induction ceremony and presented Timothy with his attractive suitable-for-framing membership certificate, but alas, Timothy did not receive his membership card as it has not yet been laminated for his protection due to a lack of proper laminating supplies. He will, however, receive this card at a later date.
Three cheers for Timothy of Wulfgard!
Vivat! Vivat! Vivat!

In the next order of business, Adrienne stepped forward with gifts for the Chief and Chieftess. Theodora received a book on lampwork bead making plus, enclosed inside the book, were the funds to purchase a lampwork bead making kit.
She then gave Wulfric a small box with a card. Adrienne has commissioned a Chieftain's spear for Wulf and the blacksmith is still working on it, and in the box was a small but fierce red-headed Lego pirate that has been Itci's good luck charm for years, as his token for the Chieftain's spear. It is now hanging in Wulf's helm, awaiting the arrival of the spear.
Lord Aedden then gave Wulf a miniature arrow as his token, and Wulf expressed relief at finally knowing what this miniature was all about.
This was followed by Lady Caitlin's presentation of a genuine Wulfgard thong purchased from the brand new Wulfgard Online Store! (Ed. Household friend Spendant the Archer found himself so caught up in the festivities that he jumped right in and offered the ring he was wearing as his token for the spear.
Adrienne informed Wulf that other tokens are in the making or in the mail from other household members, associates, and friends. Anyone who reads this report is also invited to send a token, but is under no obligation to do so.
Next, Grimolfr stepped forward with a small tube for Wulf that contained a scroll, which, after making a quick check of the contents, read aloud. The text of said scroll is as follows:

Tamarlaine of Wulfgard then came forward to give Wulf a hand drawn sketch she purchased from an artist who swears he doesn't know Wulf. The resemblance the warrior in the drawing bore to Wulf is remarkable.
And finally, household friend Jenna of Wulfgard got in the last presentation of the evening bestowing Lady Theodora with a Viking Barbie, complete with spear and magic helmet.
Laird Wulfric then officially pronounced the meeting closed to move along to the booty portion of the evening.
Many gifts were exchanged, much laughter rang out, new friendships were forged, and some old ones were re-affirmed. Festivities continued well into the wee hours, and I think it's quite safe to say all had a wonderful time.
