Clan Wulfgard Policies - Principles

There are many ideals that we, as clan members, strive to uphold within the household. We strive to be open and honest in all we do. There are three main tenets within our clan that are an important part of how we identify ourselves and the impact we have on the world around us. The three tenets of the household are Honor, Hospitality and Courage.
Honor encompasses the honesty and trustworthiness with which we conduct all our personal and clan business. The keeping of one's word is what keeps relationships continually moving forward and growing. We understand that the line between keeping one's word and maintaining a safe family environment is not always easy to balance. This is where our definition of honor also encompasses the obligation of respect and protection within the clan structure.

The next tenet, Hospitality, is the welcoming and open way which we treat our family and guest. When the guests maintain themselves with honor, we, as clan members, will always respond with the same. All help that is within the safe ability and resources of the clan members will be given. This doesn't just mean the way with which we meet non-clan members. This applies to the way we also help each other. It is not unheard of that a member, friend, or ally has been the extended guest of a clan member. Financial, food, gas and other resources have also been made available when needed. We encourage this practice outside the clan as well. Hospitality includes being generous with your time and charitable assistance as well. Teaching first aid, collecting litter, and giving blood is as important as invitations for dinner and giving crash space for events. Being giving, friendly and sharing is living the tenet of Hospitality.

The principle of Courage can be, at times, the most difficult to uphold. Within our current society it is common to see strife and hardship heaped upon those that stand up for their personal beliefs. Sometimes it takes courage to make a decision or take a stand, but it ALWAYS takes bravery and valor to stand for our decisions in the face of opposition. We maintain our bravery while still continuing to learn, grow, and evolve ourselves into what we know is the best we can be.
We maintain that Honor, Hospitality and Courage will be our defining attributes for ourselves and those we chose to interact with. Why?

Because we are to our very core of being, CLAN WULFGARD!
