Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

The book is a tale of a 'normal' boy and his adventures when he gets to 'wizard school'. The story is wonderfully crafted and will hold the attention of both younger children as well as adults, and in these days of 30 minute tv shows that is amazing.

There are the normal "school" threads of bullies, friends, cliques, and teachers, but the lessons to be culled are those of accepting others for who they are, standing up to bullies, bravery, and (very important) taking responsibility for one's own actions no matter what.
